Better requires process, discipline, and simplification

As the Application Defense Senior Engineer, you will serve as an advanced technical resource and expert of infrastructure protection technologies, to provide maintenance, tuning and architecting. You will employ highly technical security skills to build/deploy infrastructure security tools, respond to escalated security alerts and provide a source of security consultation and expertise for the business. The engineer will have a strong focus on application defense capabilities. This will include Bot Mitigation, Web Application Firewalls, and Database Activity Monitoring.

For this role, we need you to bring 5+ years of experience with infrastructure protection security systems, such as SIEM, WAF, DAM, IPS/IDS, proxy, DDoS protection, etc. You'll also bring a strong understanding of Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP). You have

experience with Active Directory and LDAP, firewall technology, and IDS/IPS technologies.

Annual base salary gross:  $108,745 -$176,710. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include short term incentives, health insurance (several options to choose from), accident and life insurance, access to the best in class learning and development platforms, to name just a few!
