Ideal candidates will have an Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology, military electronics training, or equivalent education/experience, a minimum of 4 years of experience in component-level electronics debugging and repair., be proficient in component-level circuit analysis and fault diagnosis, and have strong soldering skills.

Job Title: Senior Electronics Repair Specialist

Location: St. Clair County, IL

Status: Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Days

Compensation: $26-$28/hour (may be negotiable)

Job Summary:

Reporting through the Engineering department, the Senior Electronics Technician will collaborate with a team of skilled technicians to perform component-level analysis, debugging, and repair of electronic boards and assemblies. This hands-on role involves conducting functional or parametric testing, identifying faults, and performing component-level repairs using SMT or through-hole repair techniques. Additionally, the Senior Electronics Technician will contribute to process improvement initiatives and assist in the design and fabrication of functional test equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional or parametric testing of electronic circuit boards and assemblies.
  • Utilize schematic analysis and standard electronic test techniques to perform failure analysis and isolate faults to a component level.
  • Perform component-level repair on assemblies using SMT and through-hole rework techniques.
  • Support the Engineering staff in designing, fabricating, or validating new production test fixtures as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in component-level electronics debugging and repair.
  • Proficient in component-level circuit analysis and fault diagnosis.
  • Strong soldering skills.
  • Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology, military electronics training, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Ability to operate standard electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, DVMs, power supplies, function generators, and hipot testers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
