Sr. Electrical and Software Engineer

Are you someone who likes a challenge? We are seeking a new addition to our CNC Engineering Team as we enter a new phase of our technological future in industrial manufacturing. Always innovating, our CNC Engineering team members support our legacy products and existing software as well as develop new CNC solutions. This position will specifically support both legacy CNC hardware and new CNC solutions in hardware and software.

Our goal is to foster a creative, solutions-focused CNC Engineering function through collaborative teams who are diverse in skills, years of experience, specialties, and industries in an open office environment. Who you are and the experience you will bring:


  • Bachelors' Degree in Electrical Engineering with a strong background in Computer Science including 5+ years of experience with embedded software (C, C++, C#/.NET, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Java)

  • PCB design experience. Schematic capture and PCB layout tools using Altium Designer or an equivalent

  • Basic engineering instrumentation knowledge such as flow measurements, thermal measurements, oscilloscopes, data acquisition system

  • Ability to design, conduct, and analyze hands-on scientific experiments using prototyping, design of experiments (DOE)

  • Ability to take marketing or customer concerns with products and translate into actionable effort with detailed work breakdown schedules for self and others

  • Leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels, engineers, managers, and technicians

  • Highly organized, self-motivated with the ability to work within a team environment

  • Enjoy working with other people in engineering and non-engineering fields to understand and resolve problems


Preferred Experience that differentiates you:

  • Knowledge of motion control and mechanical motion dynamics

  • CNC or PLC design and programming

  • Working knowledge of DFT/DFM techniques

  • EMI/EMC design experience

  • Value Engineering/cost reduction in product design

  • Firmware and software using Microsoft Visual Studio

  • Experience with wired and wireless communication protocols like Wi-Fi, RFID, Ethernet, EtherCAT, CAN, MODBUS, and USB

  • PC hardware platform knowledge


Location: New Hampshire (Relocation provided)
