Job Summary

Plans, secures, and markets adequate supplies of energy commodities to meet the company\'s needs. Builds and maintains relationships as well as supply and sales agreements with customers. Develops and designs forecasts of needed supply, transportation requirements and available storage of natural gas or natural gas liquids.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Develops long-term supply agreements regarding transportation and storage arrangements
  • Ensures all contracts and transactions are conducted both within prescribed legal and the company's policies and procedures
  • Collaborates with the Commercial and Trading functions to determine pricing and terms of new contracts
  • Identifies and executes on new long-term supply opportunities and assists in determining prices and contract terms for profitable transactions in conjunction with the Commercial and Trading functions
  • Negotiates gas purchase or natural gas liquids marketing contracts with customers as well as with transportation organizations and storage operators as required
  • Administers and monitors existing purchase and sale contracts
  • Leads small projects within a broader project or has accountability for ongoing activities or objectives
  • Acts as a resource for lower level Commercial Representatives
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or a similar degree field and/or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience is required although employees typically have 7-10 years; oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Special Demands

  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel will be required
