Senior Client Manager Rx Solutions

Various Locations (St. Louis, Detroit, Minneapolis)

As a Sr. Client Manager with the Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA) Rx Solutions team, you will be the "air traffic controllers" for all client deliverables. The overall responsibility for this role is ensuring that all parties - the MMA Rx Solutions team, the MMA field, PBMs and other relevant vendors - know what client commitments have been made and each party's deliverables to achieve these commitments. In addition, the Sr Client Managers keeps a pulse on the status of the data, documents, analysis, presentations, and all prep related to these commitments, and when concerns around deliverables arise, either work to solve the issue or bring in the appropriate resources to maximize staying on schedule. To thrive in this role, you should be a minimum of five (5) years' experience working at a PBM or in a pharmacy with a carrier with direct client interaction from an account management or implementation management perspective. Ideal candidates will have pharmacy pricing / underwriting experience as well. You don't have to have your Life & Health licensure but must be able to obtain within 90 days. To be successful, you should know how to work under pressure/deadlines and want to help others achieve goals.

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Contributing in growing sales and retaining clients by supporting regional MMA Rx Solutions Strategic Account Executive (SAE) in analyzing and negotiating employer benefit pharmacy contracts.
  • Supporting managing the employee benefit pharmacy renewal process with Upper Mid-West regional offices and coordinates and the MMA Rx SAE through the MMA Rx Solutions approach.
  • Tracking, identifying and managing MMA Rx Solutions client deliverables for the UMW region to ensure accurately and timely completion.
  • Building/maintaining strong working relationships with MMA Rx Solutions SAE, UMW sales, account management and analytical departments as well as strategic partners while holding them accountable to deliverables and deadlines.
  • Working with internal and strategic partners to ensure reporting, presentations and reviews are completed timely and accurately.
  • Reviewing draft pharmacy contracts to ensure pricing and terms match MMA provisions and best practice guidelines.
