Performs senior-level Production Planning and Supplier Management/Procurement activities supporting the Braintree COE operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support Sales Inventory and Operations Planning for assigned commodity groups
  • Establish minimum inventory quantities
  • Create Bill of Materials and Production Orders
  • Research and evaluate supply chain opportunities for cost reductions, MOQ's, reduction of lead times, alternate suppliers
  • Utilize JDE MRP and demand planning systems to develop an effective planning & purchasing process.
  • Develop strategic working relationships with internal customers as well as external suppliers.
  • Complete high-level analysis of critical supply chain events, using data to influence senior leadership team.
  • Communicate with clarity and establish a strong voice of the customer across the site.
  • Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement to support site lean initiatives.
  • Driving long term capacity & supply plans for all products.
  • Managing Material Supply to ensure Manufacturing commitments are achieved.
  • Provide timely and accurate material availability information to internal customers.
  • Support annual site budget process determining volumes for Finished Goods and Raw Materials.
  • Lead analysis of Excess, Expired and Obsolescence in accordance with financial process
  • Act as Purchasing SME (both Quality and Financial) to support internal and external audit and compliance requirements.

Expected Areas of Competence
  • Knows the criteria, process and tools for measuring and recording purchasing performance
  • Ability to engage in basic contract negotiations and develop contracts in standard form; create basic project plans and manage source plan and implementation across functions and sites.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate quotations submitted by potential suppliers to assure that the quality, quantity, delivery terms, and costs are acceptable.
  • Learns from experience, self-motivated and knows when to seek assistance from purchasing management.
  • Demonstrates effective written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to prepare concise spreadsheets and present financial information in graphical form to support procurement decision making.
  • Working knowledge of planning and purchasing systems; accounting principles and budgeting practices.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word); effective analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.
Education/Experience Requirements
  • BS in Business Administration or relevant experience
  • 5-7 years of purchasing experience required or experience in related skill field (finance, accounting); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
