  • Develop policies, designing sourcing strategy, qualifying and selecting vendors and overall strategic supplier relationship management.
  • Ensure timely execution and completion of sourcing events from vendor qualification through contract negotiations across the R&D organization.
  • Drive improvements and efficiencies resulting in added value to the organization and foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Establish a supplier relationship management program to ensure supplier partnerships are properly developed, managed and monitored, including meaningful metrics, innovative approach and mitigating risk.
  • Manage day-to-day sourcing operations and ensuring competitive landscape through RFQs/RFPs, analyzing proposals, negotiation contracts, and making selection decisions.
  • Ensures that all relevant contractual documentation is handled as per the defined Contract Management Process.
  • Assists with budget/forecasting needs, such as accrual, project budgets, etc.
  • Identifies non-added value processes or administrative work and suggest improvements.
  • Contract lifecycle management: manages clinical contracts and change orders, including active negotiation of scope of work, payment terms and budgets.
  • Assists with budget/forecasting needs, such as accruals, project budgets, etc.
  • Serve as Integral team member for developing a data quality network withing VYGR R&D
  • Partner with Quality, IT, and R&D SH to develop a standardized process for capturing eData, sample management, and data storage.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or a MS with 6+ years of purchasing experience supporting pre-clinical research operations in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • General knowledge of drug development and familiarity with NHP IND enabling
  • Demonstrated affinity with commercial & science sourcing challenges and good negotiation skills.
  • Strong team player but able to work independently.
  • Ability to thrive and lead during ambiguity.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities within established timeframe.
  • Experience in a multicultural environment
  • Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office
  • Entrepreneurial mind set, out of the box thinker, change agent and accelerator.
  • Seeks opportunities and takes initiative with follow through to execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a knowledge in Neuroscience and/or AAV modality, with a graduate level degree (MS/MBA)
  • Passionate about Biopharma science and industry with a strong knowledge of AAV modality.
