ECS is seeking a Solutions Architect to work in our Fairfax, VA office.

Job Description:
ECS is seeking experienced technologists who possess both technical depth and strong interpersonal skills to partner with internal and external teams to develop scalable, flexible, and cutting-edge solutions. Solution Architects within ECS collaborate with operations and business development to help craft solutions to meet customer business problems, migrate workloads to cloud, and propose industry best practices.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with operations, technical and business development managers, and ECS Centers of Excellence on key architectural components of large solutions
• Evaluate customer issues and make educated decisions on technologies, tools and the overall delivery strategy
• Successfully communicate to customers, contract program managers, industry partners, ECS senior management, and Government representatives
• Provide leadership and creativity in new business capture and proposal development
• Track industry trends and leverage them to drive innovation and solution excellence across various functional domains

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in technology field (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc)
• 4+ years design, implementation and consulting experience
• 2+ years of software development tools and methodologies experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across internal and external organizations
• Ability to prioritize and manage a number of projects / priorities simultaneously; able to be hands-on as well as strategic
• Demonstrated ability to effectively influence without authority; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of personnel (executive to entry level)
• Ability to project a confident leadership image to peers, subordinates, and executive management

Desired Skills:

• Master's Degree and / or relevant certifications (ITIL, Cloud, etc)
• Experience in technology or software sales consulting or equivalent skills
• Experience working with multiple organizations within the U.S. Defense and Federal Civilian Sector in the pursuit of business opportunities
• Experience transforming legacy customer solutions to cloud environments including AWS and Azure
• Understanding of Federal Government security requirements
