Software Requirements Analyst to assist DEA We're is hiring bright and talented software requirements analysts to support the Drug Enforcement Administrations application development initiatives. Our teams develop cutting-edge applications that directly enable DEA to further its mission. We and DEA are avid practitioners of agile development methodologies, and most of our work is done in a purely agile environment. We use Scrum, continuous integration, and peer reviews on a daily basis, and we adhere to the inspect and adapt principle as we seek new ways to innovate.

We are looking for more than a set of analyst skills we are interested in your experiences, talents, interests, and enthusiasm for the craftsmanship and engineering aspects of software development. Our engineers understand and use design patterns, SOLID principles, mocks and fakes, and unit tests. In addition to being technology enthusiasts, we are also passionate about delivering valuable software. Our requirements analysts work directly with end users to discover and solidify requirements, exchange feedback on implemented and potential functionality, and communicate user requirements via user stories for our software developers.

We are currently seeking a Requirements Analyst to work on-site in Arlington, VA.
What You Will Be Doing *Responsibilities*


* Work with DEA product owners and stakeholders to capture client requirements for a variety of applications

* Test user stories once developed and work with software developers to address any issues and ensure user story requirements are fully met

* Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps (formerly Team Foundation Server) to capture all requirements and test results

* Participate in requirements definition to ensure development team has all necessary information

* Participate as a project team member for functional application areas (and help provide input on planning)

* Support multiple project/client needs to stay aware of team needs, upcoming schedules, long-term support and new build processes in support of our federal, state government and commercial clients


What You Need for this Position *Education and Experience*


* Minimum 5 years of experience capturing software development requirements

* Minimum 4 years of writing Agile user stories and requirements documentation SCRUM preferred

* Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office 2010 and higher

* Minimum 3 years of experience with MS Team Foundation Server (note: includes Microsoft Azure DevOps Server/Services)

* Minimum 3 years functional application customer service support


*Required Skills and Competencies*


* Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.

* Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a Secret clearance and pass DEA Suitability clearance. Current Secret clearance or higher strongly preferred.

* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

* Experience with Agile development methodologies

* Experience utilizing Team Foundation Server 2010 or higher (to include Azure DevOps Server or Services)


*Desired Skills and Competencies*


* Experience in packaging and delivering software and documentation to a production environment

* Ability to quickly deliver small projects, and to frequently transition between projects and applications


Candidates will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required. Current Secret clearance or higher strongly preferred.
