Summary:

Software Product Manager drives Mueller's cloud services platform to deliver value to the customer and generate meaningful outcomes for the business. This position will participate in the continuous discovery process, translate customer needs into functional requirements, and work closely with product design and software engineering to deliver differentiated winning solutions in the marketplace. The Software Product Manager will work closely with the sales, marketing, and leadership team to ensure the software roadmap(s) supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

Primary Accountabilities: Primary accountabilities include but are not limited to the following.

  • Specify product roadmap for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to existing and prospective customers
  • Works closely with stakeholders (customers, business development, sales, and field ops) to understand needs and priorities, and translate market and stakeholder needs into product requirements and definitions
  • Define and maintain detailed functional definitions of new products based on analysis of market requirements, corporate objectives, and available technology.
  • Conducts competitive product analysis and market research, evaluate usage metrics, and devises new methods to increase product usage
  • Partners with product design and engineering leaders to continuously deliver value to customers and the business
  • Collaborates with product marketing to develop product literature and product training to build awareness

Qualifications and Experience

  • Prior work experience as a software engineer or similar technical background.
  • Minimum of 3 years of software produce management experience with software/web technologies.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Scienter or Computer Engineering Required

Competencies:
  • Experience in lifecycle data rollouts at scale, promoting product excellence and collaboration.
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of DevOps, Software, and cloud solutions (ex. AWS, Azure)
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey information to colleagues at all levels

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Minimal lifting - must be able to lift to 15 lbs.
