In the Software Manager position, you will be managing an embedded software development team using tools and processes like ANSI C and Model Based Design with MATLAB SIMULINK STATEFLOW and AUTOCODE GENERATION WITH TARGETLINK required for functional operation, testing, and maintenance of products.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead Agricultural Software Development Teams in Real-Time Controller Actuation based, Cloud- Based, Semi and Fully Autonomous environment
  • Provide hands-on coding to deliver and support high quality software.
  • Motivate and inspire a team of engineers on a day-to-day basis via mentoring, coaching and employee recognition.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding, computing assets and training, annual evaluations, and career development
  • Develop team strategies and approaches for new projects, promote establishing standards, efficient processes and tools.
  • Perform Software Development, Code Reviews, Test Reviews, Software Configuration Management reviews to ensure high quality and timely software deliverables.
  • Lead Tractor and Sprayer Functional Software through Cross Functional team meetings
  • Design, develop, test, debug and integrate microcontroller software for Tractor and Sprayer applications.
  • Fixing and resolving software field issues posted by Field Test and Validation Engineers.
  • Design System software with modular architecture as a goal and develop application software to interface with lower-level software's like Board Support Package (BSP) and Common Core Software (CCS) using proprietary and non-proprietary Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) and SCHEDULER concepts.
  • Perform Integration testing for Vehicle Subsystem development and resolve issues by documenting test cases using several testing techniques (boundary value analysis, code coverage analysis and safety criteria).
  • Develop software from software requirements using Model based automatic code generation approach (including fixed-point conversion and usage of common assets and libraries) and maximize use of existing software.

Position Pays $111,100 to $170,500 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)


Qualifications:

  • B.S in Engineering with specialization in Agricultural/Electrical/Electronic
  • 8+ years of experience in the field of Automotive or TNOH Embedded Software Development and Testing
  • 8+ years of experience in Spearheading design, development and test teams in Automotive or Truck and Off-Highway Products working with Realtime Embedded Actuation Controls environment.
  • 8+ years of experience in Model Based Control design using MATLAB/SIMULINK/STATEFLOW and dSPACE TARGET LINK Auto Code Generator toolsets as per MAAB Guidelines.
  • Years of experience in Software Development and Programming experience in ANSI C for Embedded microcontrollers that use Hard and Soft Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Years of experience and knowledge in communication protocols (J1939 and CAN).
  • Ability to develop software from System Requirements and reverse engineer from Software to Requirements for Legacy and model-based code.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle deadlines and still meet deliverables under aggressive timeframe.
  • Work and co-ordinate with multiple work sites with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient with English language

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering/Aerospace fields.
  • Experience with Semi-Autonomous & Autonomous Vehicles
  • Truck and Off-Highway Automotive Embedded Agricultural Software development background
  • Knowledge about agricultural machines like tractors and AG business electrical and electronic systems software engineering.
  • Experience with Software Configuration Management tools like IBM Clear Case, Subversion (SVN) with Tortoise Client, etc.,
  • Experience with Free Scale, Infineon, and Fujitsu Micro Controllers.
  • Implementation of Software based on MISRA C Standards for ANSI C and MAAB for Model Based Development.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations like ISO 25119/26262 or any other aerospace regulation standard.
  • Experience working with Outsourcing Teams and Counterpart teams across multiple continents across the world
