RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client seeking a Software Engineering Manager in Fort Lauderdale, FL.Summary:The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring that the execution of all phases of the software development life cycle align with and directly support business goals as well as providing vision and leadership for technology initiatives that enable the organization to manage data to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development. The Software Engineering Manager will cultivate a healthy working environment, empower team members towards efficacy and fulfillment, and ensure the quality and timeliness of new technology deliveries in cooperation with other business units. The Software Engineering Manager is expected to keep abreast of industry developments by maintaining a working understanding of healthcare industry operations and compliance requirements. All team members are expected in good faith to contribute to a collaborative and cooperative dynamic with open communication, situational awareness, and a sense of ownership for shared outcomes. Responsibilities:

• Align software development plans with business objectives
• Lead and direct the activity of software engineers and business analysts
• Produce high quality software with emphasis on maintainability, security, and performance
• Support deployment environments, including troubleshooting, releases, and documentation

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and/or equivalent industry experience
• Team-focused with an attitude of group achievement as the primary goal
• Strong problem solving ability, communication skills, and a customer-centric mindset
• Situational awareness and empathy
• Back-end programming skill/experience
• Front-end programming (HTML, CSS, Javascript) skill/experience
• Relational database concepts and programming skill/experience
• Plus: Prior success working remotely
• Plus: Systems, network, database administration experience
• Plus: Project management, freelance, consulting, special projects experience
• Plus: Experience in the healthcare industry
