Software Development Engineer in Test Seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test for a world wide leader in the IT space. One of the most recognizable companies in the world, is expanding their industry leading ML and AI Data Platform, and this is a chance to help them grow and build out their roadmap.

The team leverages the latest big data and microservice-based technologies to build out the data processing platform - Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Apache Pulsar, Kubernetes, Istio, knative, GraphQL, TimescaleDB, Postgres. The development stack is Scala (cats, http4s, Caliban, shapeless, lagom). The test automation development stack is Python.

Mainly seeking someone with strong Python Development, ability to build testing framework, test strategy-- will be testing for new data processing platform that will be cloud base (AWS), (Java or Scala-nice to have).
What You Will Be Doing -Evolve our test automation strategy to properly account for all testing layers (unit testing to performance/load testing)
-Continue the architecture and design of our test automation framework
-Design and implement test automation to test platform microservices and components, and data processing pipeline deployments
-Lead a test automation scrum team, and work closely with the back end developers and Chief PO, to write and groom stories, and create and execute test plans
-Ensure SLA requirements are continuously improved through technology innovation and end-to-end monitoring and support capabilities
What You Need for this Position -BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
-5+ years of QA/testing experience of Big Data environments (microservices, Docker, ETL, Spark, Kubernetes, etc.)
-Knowledgeable of security requirements
-Working knowledge of database technologies (ex. postgres, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, TimescaleDB)
-Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated influencing skills, high level of technical and team leadership skills
-Strong tendency to automate and monitor everything (Python, Java, Scala)
-Strong aptitude for troubleshooting/problem-solving
-Self-motivated and comfortable working in an Agile methodology (rapid iterations, rapid releases, etc)
-Delivery of one or more large-scale enterprise data products meeting petabyte scale, real time, low latency data processing needs is a plus
