Our client is seeking an experienced Software Developer for its IT operations based in Lenexa, KS. This individual will be responsible for the following:
* Identify and escalate SDLC issues and gaps
* Collaborates with Business Analysts, Software Development Engineers in Test, Product Owners, other Developers, and other department personnel to obtain a thorough understanding of applications and business processes to better support the users
* Mentors and provides technical guidance and training to Associates and Developers
* Contribute ideas to improve the technical solution, keeping performance and efficiency as priorities, while meeting business requirements
* Understand business requirement documentation and develop solutions from it
* Anticipates, identifies, and escalates issues/risks. Leverages personal and experiential knowledge to propose workarounds, prevention, and/or solutions
* Contribute to SDLC documentation and encourage everyone to follow processes
* Look for and suggest improvements in efficiencies to reduce costs and be responsible and accountable as an employee owner
* Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Qualifications
* 4-6 years of experience in software development
* Proficiency with C#, .Net MVC, RESTful APIs, Angular, SQL, and/or X++
* Experience with Git or other version control systems
* Experience with Azure DevOps and build/release pipelines
Skills Required
* Understand and plan for future paths as part of the long-term department plan
* Solid business awareness and understanding
* Extensive knowledge of Agile philosophies and Scrum practices
