Role Overview / Who are we looking for...

As a member of our team, you will work on a variety of Web and PWA projects using Javascript and the VUE.js framework to include front-end development and design, back-end development, and business application integration. As required, this role would interact with DH's business units to gather project requirements, develop software improvements, and drive project goals. In addition to taking part in the wider set of projects, this role would also and assist with application development in conjunction with outside vendors as necessary.

What you will do

• Application support for internal web portal, Trace (container tracking system), SQL server support, reporting systems, and other business systems as required

• Development of SQL/MySQL, system interconnectivity including AP, Mobile application creation/dev, and application migration.

• Assists with researching, testing, and deployment of reporting-based projects.

• code revision and rewrite

• Frontend/Backend Internal web and customer portal development and improvements

• Working with outside vendors for ongoing development of business systems.

• Requirement gathering from business units, including engineering and sales, as well as interaction with customers, when necessary, to fully understand solution needs.

• Assist with establishing strong code management processes - code changes, testing, and deployment.

• Assist with creating and maintaining a strong and reliable software development life cycle process

• Work with Business Analyst to understand business needs, research solution options, and recommend tech solutions to management.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technical degree highly preferred.

• 2-5 years working closely with in a Web or Mobile Solution / Application development environment

• Experience working with project teams to develop and deploy customer centric solutions using agile-based methodology

• Experience working with basic Web technologies (HTML, Javascript, CSS, etc.)

• Experience working with Vue.js or React.js

• Experience working with the following programming languages or software stacks: Node.js , PHP, Google Firebase technologies, Express/NGINX or IIS, etc.

• Working knowledge SQL/MYSQL or other database systems

• Working knowledge of REST APIs usage and development.

• Familiarity / experience in other Web programming languages or platforms (.net, Python, etc.)

• Experience with mobile app development

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.

• Basic experience with LAMP or XAMPP stacks.

• Experience developing in Azure, AWS or other Cloud infrastructure.

• Shell scripting experience.
