Lead a team of software engineers to build, deliver, and support large scale and highly transactional software in support of Inspire Brands' digital platforms. Responsible for the digital software engineering of Inspire's consumer facing solutions, products, and programs, which includes company owned web and mobile channels.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Member of development team that leads technical execution and delivery of new initiatives as well as providing operational support for solutions in production.

  • Leads a team of developers directly and provide technical guidance to individuals and other peers.

  • Leads the design and development of innovative features on key strategic projects as part of a highly functional Agile (e.g. Scrum) team

  • Ensure that technical solutions are in line with company standards in respect to architecture, security, compliance, testing and product direction.

  • Leverage industry best practices and tools to continually improve teams' ability to deliver and maintain solutions.

  • Accountable for deliverables, milestones, and development schedules from large or complex user stories; estimates release dates and modifies schedule as required.

  • Works with the product teams to establishes acceptance criteria for user stories, develops test cases, and approves stories.

  • Mentor, support, and guide junior developers, including code reviews, best practices, pattern reviews

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 year degree in Computer Science or similar required

  • Graduate degree preferred

  • 2+ years' experience in modern web development, including JavaScript, Node.js, React Native, ReactJS, Python

  • 2+ years' leading a team(s) of software engineers and developers

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES

  • Able to lead development team to deliverables: on time, scope and budget

  • Experience working with agency partners

  • Excellent presentation and soft skills, able to present complex technical concepts to business partners and senior management

  • Experience leading teams with deep technical experience with enterprise development (e.g., Client-Side and Server-Side JavaScript) and frameworks/technology (e.g., React, Angular, Node)

  • Deep understanding creating and integrating REST based web services

  • Proficiency with source control and release technologies (e.g., Git and Azure DevOps) and practices (e.g., CI/CD and automation) Good soft skills, able to demonstrate solutions to business partners

  • Cross Functional internal team exposure - has worked previously with Product, Design, QA and Delivery leads.

  • Experience with supporting multiple versions and releases of software

  • Full Stack development experience

  • Experience working as part of a Agile Scrum team
