JOB DESCRIPTION
As a shipping clerk you will be responsible for processing customer shipments by pulling, scanning, and/or stacking orders to be sent to customers. Additional tasks will be assigned as required.
Essential Functions:
- Read and review orders to verify accuracy of items pulled and order contents
- Record shipment data such as weights, charges, space, etc.
- Pack, seal, label, and affix correct material for shipment
- Stage skids in correct place for shipment
- Accurately counting quantities of items on skids
- Using computer systems to accurately process orders
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous shipping experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. repeatedly
- Ability to communication effectively in English, both written and verbally
