Summary of the group:

Antibody Discovery & Protein Engineering (ADPE) is responsible for the discovery and optimization of next generation biologics to create biological drug candidates for all key therapeutic areas such as oncology, respiratory and inflammation, cardiovascular, renal and metabolic diseases. We're constantly pushing the boundaries of science to deliver life-changing medicines to patients, with a pass for the development of in-house biologics discovery platforms and novel drug modalities to address unmet medical needs.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be part of a team of highly skilled and passionate individuals responsible for innovating and generating the best in class antibody drug conjugates for various therapeutic areas. We are seeking a highly motivated synthetic chemist with a background in Chemical biology and bioconjugation. Exciting opportunity to be learn and contribute to multi-disciplinary drug development .

  • Design and synthesize cytotoxic drug-linkers for therapeutic conjugates generation
  • Develop and optimize novel conjugation methodologies to improve ADC properties
  • Implement conjugation, purification, and characterization of ADCs using various validated methodologies
  • Collaborate and work with a diverse group of scientists across many therapeutic areas, chemistry, and process development to ensure timely progress in research projects and drive technological innovations
  • Partner with colleagues on laboratory maintenance, including maintenance of equipment and lab safety.


Education & Experience Requirements:

Graduate Degree in Organic Chemistry/Chemical Biology or other relevant subject areas with 0-3 years' experience (PhD) or 9+ years' experience (MS)

Required Skills:
  • Hands-on expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, including air-free chemical synthesis and small-scale techniques, purification and characterization of compounds by various tools.
  • Knowledgeable in the state-of-the-art synthetic chemistry
  • Experience in bioconjugation chemistry
  • Proven ability to work independently, effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion to meet project deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in optimizing/troubleshooting protocols with a problem-solving mindset and maintains a detailed laboratory notebook
  • Track record of scientific innovation as evidenced by scientific publications, patents, and oral presentations at conferences


Desired Skills:
  • Hands-on experience in the synthesis of cytotoxic payloads and linkers for antibody drug conjugates is highly desirable.
  • Conjugation, purification, and analytical characterization of antibody drug conjugates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective presentation of complex scientific data to cross-functional and senior management
