The Senior Sales Director is responsible for managing, developing and mentoring individual contributors on the Enterprise Sales team. Focused on inspiring, training, growing and retaining talent while driving top line growth of the business.

Essential Duties

  • This leader will coach and motivate direct reports to achieve assigned quotas with a focus on increasing sales productivity and revenue growth
  • Translate high level sales strategy into clear, actionable goals for direct reports; regularly communicate goals to direct reports and track performance against goals
  • Leverage Sales Operations team: set annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets for sales team; manage ongoing process for tracking sales; manage pipeline, utilize CRM to forecast pipeline progression
  • Lead sales team and support staff through quarterly detailed account planning process; ensure plans are aggressive enough to reach targets
  • Train direct reports on how to clearly communicate Intrado's value proposition to prospects and accounts
  • Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and mentorship
  • Coordinate pursuits and account insights with other team leaders in the sales organization
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned segment and territory or area of expertise
  • Recruit and hire staff; take proactive steps to retain existing staff
  • Lead and direct the activities associated with meeting the expectations of assigned clients, ensuring the highest quality service is provided and overall revenue targets are achieved while remaining consistent with corporate policies, procedures, and philosophies
  • Oversee employee performance to ensure a balance of optimum productivity and service level goals are always maintained

Education
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, marketing, information technology, or a related field required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for education requirements

Minimum Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years in sales or sales strategy roles; prior account management required
  • Minimum of 5 years business development (strategy, market segmentation, analysis)
  • Minimum of 5 years managing distributed sales teams
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience required (10+ years supervisory experience preferred)

Other
  • Experience in sales management and business development with a highly successful track record selling enterprise solutions to large clients
  • Experience driving successful large account development and executing innovative solutions for new markets to increase revenue growth
  • Results-oriented individual, able to drive priorities and own outcomes
  • Proven ability to build and grow high-level customer relationships
  • Preferred experience with process management, process improvement and change management
  • Occasional travel may be required.
