Responsible for managing and training brokers to sell individual health products.

Develop sales strategy and prepares information to ensure impactful and effective presentations to brokers.

Develop a sound sales strategy prior to meeting with prospective brokers 100% of the time.

Collect necessary information prior to presentations to establish effective presentations 100% of the time.

Conduct sales activities to increase individual sales from brokers.

Make a minimum of 40 contacts per week including office visits, mail, and telephone contacts to meet or exceed projected annual sales.

Conducts broker presentations in a professional manner 100% of time.

Participate in community activities, health fairs, chamber activities, etc. to promote SWHP and the Scott & White Clinics.

Follow up on contacts and maintain records.

Maintain a broker file on each account that is 100% accurate and current on a quarterly basis.

Maintain and submits a weekly contact report to Sales Manager listing individual broker contacted and outcome of contact.

Provide information and answers questions from perspective brokers to increase awareness of the SWHP products and services.

Respond to questions by prospective brokers regarding SWHP products on a daily basis.

Provide information on competition as appropriate.

Fulfill continuing education to improve skills and increase effectiveness.

Take responsibility to understand and complete professional improvement courses and provide Scott & White with any necessary documentation.

Participate in ongoing training for improving sales and service skills.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

 - Pass Texas Group I (01-01) license examination within 90 days of employment.
 - Minimum of 3 years experience required.
 - Sales experience in HMO or PPO individual health insurance, marketing/public relations, or related sales field.
 - Public speaking, good communications skills, selling abilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Bachelors or Equivalent Exp

- EXPERIENCE - A minimum of 3 years experience required

- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
       Hmo/Group 1 Texas License (HMO): HMO/Group 1 Texas License required within 3 months of hire.
