This position is atGould Turner Group (GTG), a subsidiary of Barge Design Solutions.

GTG is anarchitectural, planning, and interior design firm based in Nashville Tennesseethat was founded in 1980. Our team of architects and staff work with facilitiesacross the United States on projects that range from renovations and additionsto master planning and new facilities. The primary clients are in Healthcareand Higher Education industries.

Barge DesignSolutions, Inc. is an engineering and architecture services firm consistentlyranked in the top 500 engineering firms in the United States. Barge acquiredGTG in November 2019 to expand our architecture services. We have been inbusiness for over 60 years and offer a range of architecture and engineeringservices to diverse market sectors which include industrial, municipal,commercial, and government clients.

What We're Looking For

GTG, a subsidiary of Barge Design Solutions is seeking to fill the position of Project Architect in the Nashville, TN office location. 

Responsibilities include:

• Effectively manage project team and deliverables to meet the project schedule, milestones, and budget.
• Extensive knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions.
• Strong knowledge of design, construction procedures, building codes, and building materials.
• Strong skills in collaborating with clients, code officials, and contractors.
• Effectively partner with business and teams to meet objectives.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Lead meetings with key project stakeholders (clients, consultants, code officials, contractors, etc.).
• Assist firm leadership and staff as a technical advisor.
• Strong skills in quality control of documents.

Education/Experience Requirements

• 8+ years' of architectural design experience 
• Healthcare design experience 
• Bachelor's degree from accredited program 
• Registered Architect licensure 
• Strong design abilities, attention to detail, professionalism, and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must, as are the ability to problem-solve, work as a team, balance priorities, and function in a vibrant open-studio office.
•  Ability to travel up to twice per month may be required
