Under the direction of the Vice President and General Manager of Performance Solutions, the Senior Program Manager (Sr. PM) will function as the owner and driver of key customer programs and will be responsible for managing project scope, technical requirements, risks, financial budget and team accountability. Responsibilities will cover program management related to some of PM's most critical customers.

The Sr. PM will interface with customers to manage expectations and promote on time execution of program requirements, along with maintain internal commitments and goals.

The Sr. PM will be responsible for coordinating resources and directions from multiple internal organizations such as: T&I (R&D), Quality, Operations, Marketing, and Internal/External Sales.

This position will be located at Mayfield Heights or Elmore, OH, but will travel to other PAC locations and customer locations, as needed.

You Will Have the Opportunity To:

  • Own and drive key customer programs - including managing project scope, technical requirements, risks, financial budget and team accountability - and ranging from product engineering to manufacture to delivery
  • Manage multiple programs of different size and complexity at different stages in the development and production lifecycle.
  • Develop program proposals & plans including budgetary and forecast estimations, resource requirements, and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements.
  • Solve customer problems through interface with technical service, production/operations, T&I (R&D), quality assurance, and customer service.
  • Identify technical issues; define, delegate and manage and/or resolve related tasks
  • Coordinate efforts between domestic, international, internal, and external customers to ensure business needs are translated into technical requirements
  • Implement program plans requirements and contribute to in-depth studies that determine optimum program planning.
  • Apply program mgmt. techniques, financial controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status ensure compliance with government and customer requirements.
  • Identify course correction options, as needed, with swift implementation capabilities.
  • Successfully elicit requirements from customer stakeholders, define project scope, schedule milestones & manage risk; must communicate effectively cross-functionally to convey requirements & assure technical targets meet stated requirements.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance/accounting or technical discipline (e.g. engineering, physics or material science) required.
  • Project Management Professional certification preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in Program management, product management or continuous improvement experience within an industrial or manufacturing industry
  • Experience working with government and defense programs, familiar with EVMS (Earned Value Management System) to manage schedule and cost tracking
  • Demonstrated capacity to identify critical market requirements, solutions, needs, problems, and challenges. Identify related technical issues for which recommended resources must be applied while at the same time able to define, delegate and manage and/or resolve related tasks
  • Able to collaborate with domestic and international customers and partners
  • Able to manage multiple programs of different size and complexity at different stages in the development and production lifecycle using industry practice program tracking tools such as earned value management
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate to all levels of management, including ability to write project status reports and deliver oral presentations
  • Experience leading cross-functional continuous improvement efforts using market best practice methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Although this position does not require a technical degree, programs typically include maturation and production readiness of novel material science technologies and some general technical competency is expected.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction
