Description

The Senior Product Manager Conceives of, develops, delivers, and manages products for customer use. The Senior Product Manager work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Product Manager Leads all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace, by developing products to meet specific customer needs and achieve specific cost and success outcomes. Once products are launched, monitors efficacy of products and uses customer and business partner feedback to ensure products are meeting customer needs across each customer segmentation, adjusting products over time to continue to achieve the desired outcomes. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, andwork is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 - 5 years or more of technical experience in User Story Development, Product Launch and Execution
  • 2 years or more of Project / Product Management experience (Healthcare industry preferred)
  • Experience leading products that are member and provider facing
  • Experience working with vendors
  • Detail Oriented
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
  • Ability to self-manage
  • Advanced skillset in MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.
  • A dedicated home office space, with a locked door, lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
  • Associates working in the state of Arizona must comply with the Tobacco Free Hiring Policy (see details below under Additional Information) and upon offer will be subjected to nicotine testing as part of a 10-panel drug test
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Experience working with Healthcare Policy Implementation
  • Background working with Cost Estimation Tools
  • Experience working with IT Stakeholders
  • Technical experience in Cost Estimation Solutions, Contract Systems and User development
Additional Information
  • Willingness or ability to work in Eastern Time Zone
  • Candidates who reside near a Humana office location may be asked to go into the office on occassion
