Primary Function of this Position:

This position has the responsibility to operate as an IT leader and trusted advisor for all M&A activities starting from due diligence to implementation of IT Applications. Will be responsible for strategizing the IT road map on Merger and Acquisitions.

You will be leading M&A Integration planning and execution responsibilities on IT side of current and further acquisitions. You will be single point of contact on IT side and work with functional leaders in the areas of Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Global Services, Finance, Legal, Tax etc. You will be responsible for due diligence on IT side for any future M&A and successful implementation of IT applications after the fruition of the deal.

This position reports to Director, IT- Business Applications Operations & Delivery. The primary responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Representative on the M&A task force to provide the inputs on IT side
  • Will be single point of contact from IT side on all M&As. Will participate in M&A strategies, due diligence, perform SWOT analysis of target company. Present the outcomes to the M&A leadership team in business terms.
  • Work very closely with various IT groups in the areas of Infrastructure, Security, Applications to come up with overall IT strategy
  • Develop an integration plan in line with Company’s overall business and IT strategy.
  • Responsible for implementation strategy including choosing right applications, budgeting, working with System integrators on RFPs. Presentation of various options to leadership team and finally developing an integration plan 
  • Ensure the successful implementation of integration project with planned budget and timeline
  • Ensure change management plan is in place
  • Develop a road map on IT team systems integration
  • Strategize the expansion of system implementations
  • Ensure local legal requirements and tax compliance during system integration
  • Create a Play book from IT perspective for future M&As
  • Present the report at various stages to leadership team

Competency Requirements:

Competency is based on: education, training, skills and experience.  In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Management role with minimum of 5 years in M&A
  • Minimum of BS or relevant work experience required, MBA a strong plus
  • Experience in working in multi-national, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environment
  • Competency in areas of IT applications and its integrations with other systems. A strong understanding of IT infrastructure and IT security
  • Knowledge of international business, taxation, country specific requirements is preferable
  • Strong understanding of legal dependencies
  • Excellent change management and project management skills
  • Ability to build relationship and trust across organization
  • Experience in medical device company is desirable
  • Possess a strong business focus
  • Ability to interact and influence senior management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects independently
  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Very strong collaboration, negotiation, and influence capability required
