Overview

The Senior Manager Developer Applications leads and contributes to the planning, creation and implementation of Hanesbrands' B2C e-Commerce vision and strategy, aligned with HBI's Full Potential strategic plan. Manages the development and delivery of Internet-based solutions that support HBI's goals ofrapidly growing direct to consumer sales. Monitors trends, threats and opportunities involving e-commerce and assesses the impact of emerging technologies. Manages and leads the hiring and development of full-time and contract personnel, including eCommerce developers and QA engineers.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages both contract and full-time eCommerce developers and business analysts. Makes sure the right people are in the right positions and works with them on personal and career development.
• Works closely with HR and external firms to hire new developers; manages skills assessment portion of interview process
• Interfaces and collaborates closely with relevant business functions to understand requirements and directs the development and implementation of IT initiatives to support these needs.
• Leads and manages complex contracts with software suppliers and third-party development firms
• Contributes to and influences the development of standards and changes to systems/applications. Provides technical and business leadership and expertise.
• Ensures adherence to all IT policies, procedures and standards, including those for SDLC, architecture, security, disaster recovery, change control, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
• Periodically collaborates with internal and external IT security specialists to assess and remediate vulnerabilities to identified threats.
• Facilitates requirement-gathering sessions with internal-client teams
• Ensuries quality control processes are successfully employed
• Communicates progress, timelines and deliverables to internal-client stakeholders
• Functions as the lead for teams of on- and off-shore Magento teams
• Works with scrum masters and developer teams to ensure solutions are delivered on-time and on budget
• Integrates highly customized third-party solutions using a range of commerce technologies
• Ensures stability of the sites through different infrastructure monitoring and analytics tools
• Assists the team with troubleshooting and issues resolution
• Provides recommendations on improving the technology stack, infrastructure, and processes

Qualifications

• 10 or more years working in e-commerce teams and/or web applications development experience required. Apparel, CPG or retail experience preferred.
• Experience and track record in managing large, cross-functional teams and influencing management and key stakeholders.
• Agile/Scrum experience preferred
• Knowledge of multi-tier Internet application architectures.
• Experience using PHP, MySQL and familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery and other JS frameworks. Magento experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and lead multiple, complex IT projects and deliver required functionality on time and within budget in a dynamically changing environment.

• Exceptional, client-facing communication skills, including video conference and in-person presentations
• Ability to understand adopt and integrate new technologies
