What you will be doing:

The Sr. Industrial Engineer will develop and maintain systems for defining standards and growing productivity through the management of people, utilization of facilities, implementation and research of technology. Will solve interpersonal, operational and related problems efficiently, devise innovative ideas and concepts. Will use six sigma tools and methodologies to reduce waste and improve quality throughout the operation. Will also help to reduce cost wherever vital to ensure that orders and finished goods are processed on time and are of good quality, meeting all customer service requirements.

  • Optimize current processes within the distribution-order fulfillment centers through the development and implementation of improved procedures, systems, and equipment
  • Analyzes current operating plan to determine opportunities for improving the operations process and workflow
  • Assist with capital improvement projects, including additional production lines or increased work volume and develop estimates for the equipment, systems, and personnel needed to complete various projects
  • Conduct operations forecasting for staffing, assets, and facility need to ensure ability to meet service commitment
  • Works with operations management team to implement changes in the operations to reach desired cost reduction and service improvements
  • Develops solutions to operational issues and provides recommendations to improve operations.
  • Compiles operational data and develops cost or time estimates, schedules, or specifications to support the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow
  • Develop cost benefit analyses and financial models to support the DC's requirements, designs, and alternative selections to existing systems
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Skills needed to be successful:
  • Understand high-level processes within the various departments throughout operations
  • Demonstrate initiative in identifying process improvements
  • Understand Line Balancing techniques to reduce work in process
  • Proficient in managing projects, including budget and RIO calculations
  • Ability to communicate ideas at all levels throughout the organization
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related Technical Field
  • 5+ years of shown experience
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop 2-D layout renderings using AutoCAD
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio, and AutoCAD applications
