Leaf Group is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst from our Santa Monica, CA office. You will work closely with all levels of management to drive Saatchi Art Group annual budget/forecast, support quarter-end close processes, and manage resource allocation across departments you support. You must be able to communicate effectively with team members and business partners while tailoring their message to suit the audience.

You'll Report To: Sr. Manager, FP&A

A typical day as a Senior Financial Analyst might include:

  • Own all aspects of the Saatchi Art Group annual planning, monthly reporting and quarterly reforecast, along with tracking operating metrics
  • Partner with TOAF teams to build and track fair budgets through short-term and long-term planning cycles, as well as ad hoc analysis
  • Maintain relationships with Saatchi Art and TOAF team to facilitate effective information sharing and provide executive summaries that headline the financial health of businesses
  • Analyze trends, research variances and present financial results to senior management
  • Recommend and implement improvements to drive efficiencies into the process and reporting accuracy
  • Participate in preparation of various senior management presentations
  • Work closely with BI to modify, reconcile, and build KPI dashboards
  • Tackle ad-hoc projects, including deep-dive in ROI and expense analyses
You'll be successful if you have experience with building financial forecast, evaluating financial results, and the ability to analyze key performance metrics to provide decision-making support. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, organized, and hungry to make an impact in a fast-paced environment.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting)
  • 3-5 years of experience in Finance
  • Good business judgment and ability to synthesize, analyze and extract implications from data
  • Experience with building excel-based forecasting and planning models
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving, decision making, and continuous improvement skills
  • Working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles such as accruals, capitalization, depreciation, amortization and revenue recognition
  • Experience with executive communication, partnering in a matrix organization, and strong technical skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines
  • Previous eCommerce and Hyperion experience a plus
