Overview

The Senior Developer position develops/maintains highly complex applications and reports to support the business needs of Beazer Homes. This position will report directly the Manager of Application Development. This position analyzes, designs, codes, tests, documents, and assists with implementation of complex application solutions to provide the best applications to meet the businesses requirements. The Senior Developer is expected to take ownership of assigned tasks and should help train/mentor more junior team members. Employees in this role are expected to have mastery of the technologies utilized for development. This position will require a close working relationship with internal and external contractors and IT partners.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, code, test, document, and assist with implementation of enterprise-scale applications to meet the business needs
• Recommend and/or implement changes to existing applications in order to increase efficiency, minimize operating expense, or improve accuracy and timeliness of application.
• Administers, maintains, develops, and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of internally developed applications
• Optimize, tune, and utilize best practices in existing applications to enhance application performance
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of features, limitations, security, and business utilization of development products
• Work closely with the business analyst to ensure that the applications are designed and developed according to business requirements
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and drive them to completion
• Train and mentor more junior Developers
• Serve as subject matter expert for development approaches
• Architect solutions that are scalable and structured in a manner that facilitates ease of maintenance and support

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems
• 4+ years of object-oriented design and development experience
• 4+ years of Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL) or general relational database development experience
• 4+ years of .NET, .NET core, MVC design/development experience
• 4+ years of Developing Web REST APIs

Skills & Abilities

• Experience working in cloud platforms and services such as Azure DevOps
• Ability to work on all phases of complex application assignments
• Ability to work effectively with clients, IT management, and peers as a team player
• Exercises good judgment, possesses strong communications skills, and exhibits leadership capabilities
• Demonstrates proficiency in problem solving
• Proactive team player capable of sharing approaches to deliver high quality solutions

Physical Requirements

• Typical office environment (Remote)
• Minimal travel required
