Responsible for the gathering and organizing of College statistical data for reports and surveys for the Rossin College of Engineering. This position prepares and interprets financial and statistical data and forecasts. The Lehigh community takes seriously our commitment to antiracism and The Principles of our Equitable Community.

1. Data Analyst
*Create a faculty, department and college centric data systems that provide data access and are readily available
*Ensure that data is accurate and create a data action plan to make data readily available
*Create and model data dashboards to track research productivity within the College
*Review and compile data reports for faculty demographics, workload and research expenditures and productivity Compile College data reports and statistics for Accreditation
*Compile and interpret College statistical data for budget request meetings, Dean's reports, department evaluations and College workload analysis
*Complete surveys for College rankings and collaborate with the Office of Institutional Research and Strategic Analytics in review and submission of these data
*Serve as key data administrator for the University Lyterati Reporting System
*Develop and use expertise in Academic Analytics, Tableau and University data systems
*Communicate data insights and results using visualizations like charts and graphs, writing reports and presenting information to various stakeholders

2. Financial Analyst
*Create financial data models for use in the prediction of budget distributions and allocations
*Compile and interpret College financial data and statistical reports for budget request meetings, Dean's reports, department evaluations and College Workload Analysis
*Prepare financial projections and forecasting of College Revenue Sources
*Provide financial projections for Cost Share and Research Funding approvals
*Provide monthly financial status reports to the Dean
*Provide financial data reports and analysis as needed for the Dean in order to make spending decisions for the College
*Analyze the College's spending, hiring, salary and expense budgets and be able to provide the Dean with the current financial position of the College on a weekly and monthly basis
*Participate in budget policy and procedural reviews and meetings
*Participate in the multi-year budget planning and forecasting

3. Data and Financial Forecast and Modeling
*Create and maintain predictive computational models to determine financial budget distribution and faculty workload expectations
*Create and maintain models using live data to predict College Revenues
*Interpret and maintain data models necessary for the Dean to make decisions related to research, cost-share for grants and any other funding requests made to the Dean

This position has fiscal or financial responsibilities other than employee expense activity, such as processing or approving transactions; monitoring or preparing budgets; or generating income for University

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Math, Business, Finance, Statistics or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's Degree in Statistics, Business, Accounting or Math preferred

Five to eight years related work experience

Experience with Financial modeling, data analysis, banner financial experience, Tableau
Excel (Expert proficiency). SQL, Academic Analytics (preferred), Jlera

Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal skills and a high level of customer service required

Ability to build, foster and maintain positive professional relationships

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, time management and sound judgment

Adept use of digital communication preferred

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and a high degree of initiative for bringing tasks to completion

Solid analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills\

Excellent computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position

All Lehigh faculty and staff are required to be fully vaccinated and receive a booster shot six months after their second vaccine; unless they receive an approved medical or religious exemption from the requirement.
