Job Description
The Senior Data Analyst, Commercial Analytics, is a great match for the analytics expert with a passion to leverage data to optimize marketing, sales and finance activities. They should find success in diving into a variety of data sources to uncover recommendations for the business.

The person in this role will be a critical member of the Galderma Aesthetics team - a forward-thinking, fast-moving, successful team that grasps the benefits of challenging the status quo. This position will collaborate with the Galderma Aesthetics marketing teams by leveraging data to develop tools and recommendations in support of critical business decisions.

The Senior Data Analyst position will use analytical, financial and quantitative methods to understand, predict and measure customer behavior. This role will be responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying opportunities, and developing recommendations to support critical business decisions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partners with all levels of Sales, Marketing and Finance teams, as well as vendors to gather, analyze, prepare and present data-based recommendations and solutions regarding all aspects of the business, including sales results, business plans, trended future requirements, profitability improvement strategies, etc.
  • Utilizes a variety of predictive analytics techniques to create understanding out of current and historical data
  • Provides insights to Sales, Marketing and Finance personnel on market and organizational trends that will support brand performance
  • Champions and supports adoption of BI tools across organization; Monitors usage statistics for BI tools, working with customers to provide input on future enhancements. Provides data validation and testing for upgrades, and ad hoc training to end-users
  • Creates, leverages and coordinates use of in-house and vendor provided Sales and Marketing databases
  • Evaluates front-end and back-end promotions and analyzes customer purchasing patterns
  • Collaborates with all internal teams to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and workflow improvement/automation
  • Partners with GBU and US Marketing teams to develop standardized reporting and tracking
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field required;
  • Master's degree (MA/MS/MBA) preferred
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience analyzing and interpreting large sets of data and drawing conclusions in order to make recommendations required
  • Three (3) or more years of experience with developing, running & analyzing results of market research projects preferred
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL
  • Intermediate proficiency with BI and data visualization platforms such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Intermediate proficiency with one or more data science tools (R, Python, etc.)
  • Beauty/Personal Care/Aesthetics experience preferred
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly evolving workplace.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with limited direction.
  • Ability to speak effectively over the telephone and face to face with employees, customers, and/or vendors
  • Ability to effectively make written or oral presentations and respond to common inquiries or complaints
