Position Summary

MAG is offering a 5k sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Analyst at the O6 - BMD Staff level to perform a wide variety of assignments in support of the Program Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE). The Cost Analyst will develop Program Office Estimates (POEs) and Spruill Charts in support of Program of Records across PM EW&C. The Cost Analyst will work with a variety of SMEs to build ACE-IT cost models and provide cost guidance and information to meet program requirements. The candidate must be comfortable supporting CAPE Briefings and CARD Cost Assessments that stand up to Army and DoD level review.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Develop Program Office Estimates (POEs) and Spruill Charts in support of Program of Records across PM EW&C
  • Develop/evaluate cost assessments, cost positions relating to the systems development, demonstration, and production approaches
  • Assess impact on systems and program costs, including analyses of prototype systems.
  • Work with SMEs to develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) that will stand up to Army and DoD level review
  • Coordinate with Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army - Cost and Economics (DASA-CE) personnel
  • Support Cost Assessment and Performance Evaluation (CAPE) Briefs and Cost Analysis Requirements Description (CARD) Cost Assessments
  • Provide cost guidance and information to meet program requirements
Requirements

Minimum Requirements
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience providing analysis for multiple large projects
  • Skilled in Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACE-IT) and building Cost Estimates
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques
  • MS Office proficiency with advanced Excel Required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work on multi-functional teams
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key individuals/groups outside of immediate work unit
  • Ability to advise others

Education / Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics
  • Four (4) additional years of related experience will substitute for bachelor's degree.

Clearance
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance

Desired Experience
  • Experience in Federal government contracting environment with knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Contract Administration Agency (DCAA)
  • Familiarity working with FFP, CPFF, T&M, and IDIQ contracts, and the development of cost modeling
