ECS is seeking a Senior Architect to work in our Washington, DC office.

Job Description:

  • Acts as the primary consultant between various business units and Programs in order to review, analyze, and evaluate Program related documentation.
  • Resolves organizational information gaps by collaborating with business representatives, architects, tech leads and development staff to design information systems; recommending best practice system controls and protocols.
  • Leads business analysis and modeling activities by interviewing process owners, users and other stakeholders to identify business processes; evaluate the current process and workflow for various business functions and document findings and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to gather, analyze and document information needs and functional requirements. Synthesize requirements to create clear and comprehensive user stories and solution design documentation.
  • Review and provide feedback on Acquisition Lifecycle (ALF) and/or Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) documents.
  • Provides weekly and monthly status reports on work performed.
  • Assists in training users once functionality is developed.
  • Assist with transformation of development and design activities from Waterfall to Agile methodologies.

Required Skills:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders.
  • Experience working with integrated systems (Modern and Legacy Applications).
  • Experience working with integrated Project Teams (IPTs) and Working Groups.
  • Understanding of Security infrastructure and principles
  • Working knowledge in information / cyber security is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Complete working knowledge and experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with working on large projects with a diverse set of teammates in various locations.
  • Ability to handle multiple programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with industry Best Practices for IT Management and Governance.
  • Understanding of business process tools including MS Visio.
  • Proficient in Office 365 and MS Teams.
  • Proficient in Maestro Tools - Confluence and Jira (Kanban Board and Scrums).
