Senior Application Architects for Western Union Business Solutions (USA) (Denver, CO) - Interact with product and business stakeholders in requirements definition. Lead the design and documentation of new and enhanced systems. Develop quality code and automated tests. Participate in agile software development life cycle from story grooming through detailed design, coding, functional testing, code review and retrospectives. Take a leadership role in defining technical roadmap for products and technical components. Assist support teams in solving user issues. Mentor and lead team members.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; and 5 years progressive, post-Bachelor's experience as a Programmer Analyst, Associate, Developer, Consultant, Software Engineer, or related software developer occupation, which must include some experience with: Software architecture design for building scalable, distributed systems; C# .Net; Agile software development practices and tools; Automated unit testing and experience with technologies including NUnit and Rhino Mocks; SQL development and data modelling skills; Debugging; Source code management and continuous integration/delivery processes and tools like SVN and Jenkins; SOA and micro-services design principles and patterns; RESTful API design skills; API management tools (APIGEE or AWS Gateway); message bus technologies including experience with NServicebus; software development life-cycle tools (Jira and Confluence); cloud-based software development skills using AWS; and domain experience with electronic bank to bank payments.

Referral Bonus - $1,000 (Subject to Employee Referral Policy). Eligible to internal employees only.

Annual base salary gross:  $98,499 - $164,165. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union's total compensation package for employees.
