Based in beautiful Washington DC., we are a flexible, high-caliber, and fast-paced cloud-based analytics platform the delivers situational awareness and battlefield logistics capabilities to both the DoD and law enforcement personnel. Due to recent growth and demand for our services, we are in need of a Senior Android Engineer with 5+ years of experience developing object-oriented software applications with at least 2 of those years focused on mobile application development for Android.
What You Will Be Doing You will be responsible for building and supporting our mobile application suite that includes applications specific to the military. You will be building and developing our real time data collection platform, and our post-mission round count and device maintenance application.
What You Need for this Position Must Have :
- 5 years of experience developing object-oriented software applications and with data structures and algorithms
- At least 2 years of mobile application development experience building Android applications
- Experience using Kotlin, Android lifecycle, Android test frameworks, and dependency injection in production applications
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and applications in the Google Play store, and 1 year of experience with system design and architecture
- Experience working in Agile software development processes
- Experience with Git/GitLab/SVN/Bitbucket/etc. for source control
- 2 years of experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team
- Experience building and maintaining mobile CI/CD pipelines

Nice to Have :
- Prior military and/or law enforcement experience.
- Bachelors or Masters degree.
- Experience with Bluetooth or WiFi enabled IoT devices integrated with mobile applications
- Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Room (we handle a significant amount of data!)
- Building and distributing Android libraries and/or SDKs
- Experience in iOS development
- Military Combat Arms or Special Operations experience
- Experience working with and/or developing ATAK plugins
- 1 or more shipped mobile applications
- US Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one
