RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Android Developer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FL).Summary:You will be part of an agile team responsible for developing, testing, deploying, monitoring, maintaining multiple internal common libraries, and native Android applications. You will also be expected to provide critical feedback on other developer's code through the code review process.Responsibilities include:

• Develop new product features in Kotlin
• Senior Android Developer will diagnose, and fix defects as identified by users or other team members
• Review code changes by other team members to ensure they meet requirements, are error free, and use Modern Android Development (MAD) best practices
• Participate in scrum team meetings
• Senior Android Developer will monitor in-market versions for issues
• Investigate new SDKs and requirements
• Senior Android Developer will rewrite of the fantasy mobile application including a new UI/UX
• New application features rolling out for the Fantasy Football season

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in Android Development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and convey technical ideas to a varied technical audience
• Develop Android client code solutions that deliver on Product Strategy and adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines and principles
• Keep up with and research emerging Android Design Patterns
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin programming language and the Android apps including work on a released Play Store application using Kotlin
• Strong Java knowledge
• Experience using Git for version control
• Sound programming fundamentals: experience working with memory management, thread synchronization, and event-based programming issues; Utilization of sound engineering principles in writing code
• Experience working on a distributed team
• Ability to integrate third party APIs and tools such as Video players, Subscription services, etc.
• Experience mentoring and growing technical individuals
• Experience with the agile process flow
• Working with entertainment, games (Fantasy sports a big plus), news, or sports-related properties preferred
• Build tooling familiarity (Gradle, Maven and CI build server experience such as GitHub Actions)
• Experience with Bash shell scripting
• Experience with scripting language such as Python or JavaScript
