The Role in Brief:

Senior Analyst, Business Solutions

The Business Solutions team powers EAB's internal operations, including Information Technology & Systems, Events, Travel and Expense, Strategic Sourcing, Process Optimization, Real Estate and Office Operations. The Analyst reports to the Managing Director, Business Solutions and plays an integral role in a variety of initiatives that cut across the team's broad portfolio. Among other things, this position is responsible for providing analysis and insights to ensure we maximize the firm's financial investments and designing and implementing process changes.

Recent project work includes:

  • Investigating innovative technology options, identifying and sourcing new print vendors, and optimizing internal processes related to our direct mail business
  • Integrating newly acquired companies into our core operations, including analyzing and integrating existing vendor agreements, migrating customer contracts, and supporting employee onboarding
  • Designing a process to refresh and exchange 1000 employee computers while offices are closed and staff are working from home, including equipment sourcing and inventory forecasting
  • Adapting firm operations to the "new normal" post-COVID
  • Fiscal management, technology development and strategic coordination of more than 100 in-person and virtual event

This role is based in Washington, DC.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of a data infrastructure to facilitate rapid reporting and tracking of key metrics driving operational performance
  • Managing the firm's expense approval process, including overseeing a team of external contractors to support the process
  • Modeling and analyzing proposed financial goals across Business Solutions and supporting the annual budgeting process
  • Oversight of department spend to ensure adherence to cost targets, including reviewing contractor resource expenses relative to budget
  • Analyzing specific financial and operational issues during the year, including ad-hoc analysis, modeling, and forecasting
  • Sourcing new vendors and managing existing vendor relationships, with focus on new process development, supporting the employee experience and productivity and securing more favorable economics
  • Project planning: develop project schedules, including coordinating project requirements within and across teams.
  • Project Execution: manage projects against established key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Evaluating project deliverables and optimizing return on investment

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or other related field
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in related roles
  • Discretion handling sensitive firm, department and individual performance information
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Significant academic or professional experience using quantitative analytical tools to assemble, analyze, and draw conclusions from business data
  • Willingness to learn how to use new tools, techniques, and skills
  • Ability to anticipate problems and exercise independent judgment when seeking a resolution
  • Proven project management and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a matrixed organization
  • Proven time management skills
  • Proven finance, strategy, and operational skills

Ideal Qualifications:
  • Experience with relational databases, such as SQL or Microsoft Access
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com
  • Experience working with senior executives
