RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant in Hauppauge, New York (NY).Summary:The Senior Accountant will maintain close contact with clients in assisting with all audits, accounting, bookkeeping (via QuickBooks), and tax functions. The Senior Accountant candidate will report to partners and provide guidance to staff members. There is a lot of growth potential with very competitive compensation and nice offices and team culture. This job requires a car and is not a remote position.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA Certification is a plus
• 3+ years of public accounting experience
• Solid audit with some tax compliance and QuickBooks of experience
• Able to prepare and analyze books and records, payroll/sales tax preparation of various tax returns: Individual, Partnership, Corporate, S-Corp, Estates and Trusts, Not for Profit, multi-state returns are a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
