The Security Team is responsible for maintaining the security and safety for all Billings Clinic staff, patients and visitors. The Security Supervisor provides supervision and promotes the health and welfare of all officers assigned to the Billings Clinic Security team. The Supervisor is also responsible to ensure security officers are appropriately trained to deter prohibited activities on hospital property while positively contributing to the overall people and patient experience through a customer service approach. The Security Shift Supervisor is responsible to ensure security officers understand and are trained to provide an empathetic, safe approach to managing escalating situations in the Billings Clinic environment.

Essential Job Functions

•Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
•Provide supervision and promote the health and welfare of all officers assigned to the Billings Clinic Security team.
•Ensure quality of service and policy compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift
•Protecting staff and property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference, including the potential for violence in the workplace
•Ensure proper physical security is maintained at all locations of the Billings Clinic Campus
•Maintains and displays good public relations skills when interacting with visitors and staff
•Monitors entrances and exits during Emergency Management Situations to include Flood Control.
•Prevents unapproved or unlawful entry in conjunction with Patients Plan of Care
•Communicates with Management any pertinent information relative to ensuring proper service to clients, issues in operations, and non-routine incidents.
•Acts as resource to the security staff by responding to questions and assisting with problem resolution.
•Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency safety standards relevant to job performance.
•Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department and/or organization.
