The Security Engineer Manager at Arhaus is responsible for driving and delivering enterprise-grade security and compliance. This person will be directly responsible for managing Arhaus’ intrusion detection and response function as well as their security threat assessment program. The candidate will play a critical role in the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity program while helping define new resiliency patterns. With the right candidate, this role will grow to a leadership position.

Responsibilities:

  • Support all products within a functional area, from design to implementation and ongoing performance according to business need
  • Identify, establish, and maintain strategic partnerships with critical business partners.
  • Explaining, in business terms, the needs and benefits of cyber security to business partners.
  • Drive Resiliency and Disaster Recovery standardization and conduct/record regular exercises
  • Drive standardization of Identity Management processes across the business partners
  • Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, provide direction for all firm mandated controls and compliance initiatives, all projects within the group, and in creating and working with architects to create and maintain security technology roadmap
  • Ensure there is an adequate budget to develop and implement the assigned strategic technology roadmap
  • Review existing tools and processes and improving and replacing those that are ineffective or out of date
  • Provide technical leadership in the design of highly complex systems
  • Impact the engineering function by contributing to technical direction and strategic decisions

Job Skills/Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in a security and risk role
  • Working knowledge of NIST, and SOC compliance
  • Retail experience is a plus but not required.
  • Project Management experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities, and related reporting
  • Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
  • Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
  • Knowledge of VMware Horizon & UAG
  • Ability to work with peer security/legal teams in collaborative ways
  • Relevant Security Certification (e.g. CISSP) is a plus but not required. Will provide training and certification for the right candidate
