ECS is seeking a Section 508 Tester to work in our Arlington, VA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:
The 508 Compliance Software Test Engineer will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of tests to verify system 508 compliance and documenting and reporting of the test results. Candidate will provide technical support for test planning, preparation, and execution of multiple test events leveraging various tools (e.g. Jaws, ZoomText, Dragon speech tools); prepare and/or review technical documents, test plans, and templates; develop test plans, scripts, and scenarios and implement them with software test procedures; participate in test planning meetings and test readiness reviews providing technical input.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related Engineering or IT discipline).
    • 7 years of experience or a CTFL certification may be substituted for degree.
  • Must have a Secret Clearance
  • Must have experience in testing 508 compliance
  • Must have experience in developing detailed test plans
  • Must have experience in developing test scripts, scenarios, and use cases
  • Strong understanding of the methods, processes, and procedures to test ERP systems including the selection of techniques and methods to be used to validate the system requirement specifications
  • Experience in using HP ALM software testing tool
  • Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in developing queries using SQL to conduct analysis of data
  • 5+ years as a Software Test Engineer, Certified Professional Software Tester is highly preferred
  • Experience in the testing of PeopleSoft is a plus
  • Be organized, detail-oriented, and be able to work independently
  • Understanding of IT system architecture and engineering concepts is a plus
  • Understanding of IT system development life cycle is a plus
