Job Title: Salesforce Data & Integration Engineer / Architect

Slalom is seeking a senior data and integration engineer / architect to join our global Salesforce capabilities team. Working with local markets, this team of consultants, engineers, and architects have an amazing opportunity to elevate the way Slalom goes to market and delivers world-class solutions that leverage a wide variety of data platforms and integration technologies.

As a Salesforce Data and Integration Engineer / Architect for Slalom, you'll work on various projects covering different data domains such as data modeling, data warehousing, master data management, data integration, data quality, and data governance. Specifically, you'll be engaged in large cross-cloud projects that require integration between Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, data lakes, data warehouses, on-prem/cloud data sources, and Salesforce CDP. In this role, you will be responsible for helping customers with integration architecture, solution design, implementation, and guidance on best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand their data needs, define requirements, determine deliverables, and manage expectations
  • Design and manage the technical delivery of data integrations and data migration elements of a cross-cloud Salesforce implementation
  • Design and implement solutions that leverage various integration technologies (e.g., Talend, Informatica Cloud, MuleSoft, Jitterbit, Boomi, and Python)
  • Present documented data flows, data architectures, technology considerations and roadmaps for implementing data migration and integration solutions
  • Serve as a passionate mentor to other consultants, engineers, and architects
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of relevant experience (depending on level)
  • Experience with data migration and integration with Salesforce and on-prem/cloud platforms
  • Experience designing and deploying end-to-end data management solutions
  • Understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, Marketing, and Experience Clouds
  • Understanding of key design patterns and large data volume limitations and best practices
  • Understanding of data sharing and visibility considerations and how these play into overall system/data architecture
  • Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and query performance tuning
  • Experience with at least one data integration tool (e.g., Talend, Informatica Cloud, Pentaho, Jitterbit, Boomi, and MuleSoft)
  • Functional and technical understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and other Cloud Computing Services is preferred
