Job Description
The Global Connected Services Sales Tech Innovation Assistant Manager is responsible for expanding GCS Subscription sales through new innovative approaches. As the Sales Tech Innovation Assistant Manager you will have the opportunity to develop strategies around new features and product categories that will be exciting for a customer within and external to the existing GM customer base. Your responsibilities will cover both OnStar and Connected Service products. You will take product and technology ideas and evaluate them through a business agility and technical partnership lens. You will be working on ways to enable 1 to 1 Sales and Marketing interactions for our customers.
Responsibilities Include:
- Define Program Capabilities, Epic and Feature Definition for Subscribe Agile Release Train that supports a best in class experience
- Work cross-functionally to ensure necessary project support and prioritization, finding innovation solutions to balance business value and technical effort and reducing non-value-add effort.
- Support new vehicle and feature launches for subscriptions and sales
- Work with customers and internal teams to define subscription technology roadmap
- Ensure close inter-team coordination and communication around roadmaps and releases
- Set specific program goals that align with GCS overall direction and growth goals
- Grasp complex technical topics and abstract key issues and risks into actional plans for the Agile Release Trains
- Create test & learn environment for products in Innovation and CX to quickly understand market acceptance
- Identify and execute new sales technology investment opportunities
- Identify how global markets can leverage a best in class approach to sales
Additional Job DescriptionSkills Required:
- Strong leadership skills and ability to lead teams in the attainment of aggressive performance goals
- Product Manager experience
- Ability to break down and communicate complicated problems into a more understandable story and action plan
- Ability to identify process flaws and implement iterative SAFe/Agile process improvements in order to increase the output/flow of the ART.
- Flexibility to adapt in an environment of changing focus and goals
- Proven ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to write effective business communications
- Ability to handle risk and innovate - original insights, test, fail, learn, improve
- Demonstrated ability to develop and utilize an energized network across the organization
- Ability to understand complex technology and eco-systems and how multiple platforms interact
Educational Requirements:
- Four-Year Accredited College Degree
- Advanced/Masters Degree in a technical or technical-related field (preferred)
- SAFe/Agile accreditation(s) preferred
