Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Memphis is seeking applicants for Process/Automation Engineerfor its maintenance department. The Process/Automation Engineer will safely provide support to the maintenance and operations teams by improving automation of equipment, perform preventative, and predictive maintenance as well as breakdown and corrective maintenance as necessary in order to improve the production equipment and process during the course of normal production hours. Duties include, but are not limited to:PLC programming, repair calls, preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, equipment troubleshooting and installation, root cause analysis, and any other necessary task(s) that are outside of the normal capabilities of production personnel. The successful candidate will demonstrate the willingness and ability to troubleshoot, use good judgment, and make proper decisions in compliance with safety policies (JHAs, SJPs, LOTO) throughout the facility and with equipment used and maintained,all of which are necessaryformeeting jobexpectations andthe prevention of downtime. General mechanical knowledge is necessary as well.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training
2. Advanced problem solving capability.
3. Experience with process automation
4. Proficient in programing

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Proven ability to initiate programs and utilize analytical/statistical tools
2. Experience with rolling or heat treating
