The Psychology of Racism, Identity, Diversity and Equity (PRIDE) lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of Miami (PI: Simon Howard) is seeking a full-time Research Associate 1 to begin in August 2024. The lab explores the ways race and racism (and other dimensions of identity) influences our social perception, judgment, interactions, and mental well-being. The Research Associate will work closely with Dr. Howard to manage the day-to-day operations of the lab.
The ideal candidate is someone motivated to pursue a PhD in social or clinical psychology. They will therefore have opportunities (and will be encouraged) to lead independent research projects, attend conferences, co-author manuscripts.
The lab is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and therefore strongly encourages candidates of diverse backgrounds/identities to apply.
This is a one-year fixed term position with possibility of renewal based on performance and funding availability. Please submit a CV, a transcript, and a cover letter describing academic and research goals, as well as technical and research experience. At the end of your cover letter, please include the contact information for at least two references.
