Position Information: DescriptionThe College of Engineering & Mines at the University of North Dakota invites applications for two Research Assistant Professor positions to begin in the fall of 2022.  The applicant should possess a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely-related field, and a strong potential to contribute to an internationally recognized research program with sustained external funding, and a commitment to high quality undergraduate and graduate instruction.For more information about the college please visit:https://engineering.und.edu/academics/electrical-and-computer-science/index.htmlPosition Benefits

Duties & Responsibilities
    Serve as a Principal and Co-Principal Investigator on research projects.Establish and maintain a competitive research program related to artificial intelligence.Conduct research, perform experiments, analyze data, and present the research outcomes at conferences and agencies.Coordinate activities with other faculty and research staff.Mentor graduate and undergraduate research assistants.Maintain close communications with the Director regarding progress.
Required Competencies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Minimum Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or any related field

  • Successful completion of criminal history records check.

Minimum Hiring Salary

Stating Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000

Contract Period/Start Date

Begin in the fall of 2022, 12-month contract
