Job Summary
The Pediatric Division of Hematology is looking for a Research Administrator to assist in the management of the 340B UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals Hemophilia Treatment Center and general Hematology. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned and experienced administrative operations professional who will manage, plan and administer the operations, human resources, finances, and research administration. The position will report to the Divison Administrator. Responsibilities will include short- and long-term budgeting, managing the 340B Hemophilia Treatment Center, monitoring clinical revenue, and overseeing research pre and post award.  Good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and flexibility is essential for this position. This position will have a high degree of autonomy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience/training
  • Ability to manage high volume and complex transactions
  • Ability to perform highly complex financial analysis and customized reporting
  • Demonstrated advanced competence in the use of spreadsheet and database software in financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports
  • Ability to maintain independent judgment; strong organization and communication skills; and a customer service focus across broad and diverse subject areas
  • Ability to interpret policy for others

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in finance, business, public policy
  • Knowledge or experience with 340B Hemophilia Treatment Centers
  • Extensive knowledge of program administration guidelines of Federal and non-Federal sponsors supporting research and educational activities, preferably in a university environment
  • Maintains knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply sponsor, institutional and departmental policies. Knowledge of current compliance regulations in all areas of research administration
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting, fiscal and reporting principles
