Safety Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Lead various committees.
- Comfortable training and public speaking
- Assist with Safety Leadership Assessment
- Manage safety related tools, PPE, resources etc
- Help manage the site Chemical Inventory
- Ensure OSHA, EPA, CAT policy compliance.
- Aid in incident investigations, closure of CI cards, and develop SFMEA's
- Maintain SJP's and update as necessary.
- Support and act as a leader for current safety culture
- Assist in workers compensation cases.
- Act as site representative for the shipping of Hazardous Material
- Act as point of contact for employees regarding safety hazards, conditions, acts, and help mitigate risk.
- Act as first responder
- Compile safety reports, analysis and provide action items for improvement and communicate to site leadership.
Basic Qualifications: - Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes.
- Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
- Walk squat and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Computer skills including but not limited to, Microsoft Offices, RF Units
- Previous Distribution Center, Warehouse, and/or Order Filling Experience
- Ability to work overtime and flex schedule when required.
- Minimum High School Education Required
Top Candidates will also have: - Previous workplace safety experience
- Previous experience leading safety incentives and driving a safe work culture.
- Previous distribution center, warehouse, and/or order filling experience
- Experience operating materials handling equipment (forklift, cherry picker, etc.)
Expected Work Schedule: - Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
