The Johns Hopkins Hospital Comprehensive Transplant Unit is a 32 bed adolescent/adult surgical unit. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floor, telemetry, and intermediate levels of care. Care and services provided: post-operative abdominal organ (kidney, liver, and pancreas) transplant recipients; as well as medical management of complications secondary to transplantation. This unit is the designated step down for the Composite Tissue Allotransplantation (hand & face) recipients. New graduate nurses will have a 10 week orientation to general/tele and then an additional 6 weeks to IMC level. All New Graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled (no contract) in our yearlong accredited Nurse Residency Program to facilitate your successful transition into professional nursing practice.

Shifts: 8 and 12 hour day & night rotating

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Applicants with an Associate's degree JHH provides Tuition Assistance $10,000 - $15,000 per fiscal year towards earning your BSN/MSN
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
  • BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
  • No RN work experience required
