The Regional Service Sales Manager is r esponsible for attainment of corporate objectives in revenue development within an assigned territory of < $100M in revenue. The Regional Service Sales Manager manages representative offices for Service Sales while tracking and providing updates and training opportunities to Service Sales Representatives. The Regional Service Sales Manager develops and make presentations and customer visits where applicable and is responsible for managing the Representative's proper input and processing of quotes in the contract system to ensure that services sold are conveyed to field operations ensuring that performance is in accordance with contract specifications. The Regional Service Sales Manager manages accurate and complete data, as well as effective communication with customers, Vertiv Services Associates and Service Sales Representatives. The Regional Service Sales Manager is responsible for the following targeted areas of business: Warranty, Installed Base, Renewal, Critical Space, Capacitor Replacement, Multi-Year, and Battery Replacement quotas as assigned to the Vertiv Representative offices within the area.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase Service Sales revenue through the sale of maintenance agreements. Works with the Regional Management Team to develop a selling strategy within assigned area to achieve sales goals in Warranty, Installed Base, Renewal, Critical Space, Capacitor Replacement, Multi-Year, and Battery Replacement quotas.
  • Execute new revenue development within assigned area through multiple market channels to meet or exceed quotas while supporting management's strategic objectives. Utilize competitive information and marketplace data to close maintenance agreements. Analyze sales leads and service requirements to target Vertiv Representatives to offer the most competitive pricing plan to meet the client's needs.
  • Maintains sales records and current activity on progress to provide accurate forecasting reports. Achieve progressively increasing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
  • Develop prospective customer list for Vertiv Representatives and maintain accurate data in the contract management system. Manages cold calls and strict follow up on proposals to close contracts effectively and efficiently by Vertiv Representatives.
  • Facilitate structured OJT Service Sales training for Vertiv Service Sales Representatives to ensure they are properly trained on developing, presenting, quoting, and entering service maintenance agreements in a timely and professional manner.
  • Position is 50% new sales development, 50% account maintenance management.

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree required in Business Management, Business Administration or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree or equivalent related work experience .
  • Ability to manage multiple offices and personnel to achieve objectives is required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize leads through multiple channels.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capable of resolving contract and product issues.
  • Understanding of UPS/Power Products, critical space environments, service products, and clients preferred.
  • Strong PC skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SMS. Knowledge a plus.
  • Team player with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects under a heavy travel schedule.
  • High degree of independent judgment.
  • Ability to work in a matrix management environment and with all levels within the organization.
  • Understanding of Vertiv Representative selling structure strongly preferred. Understanding of Vertiv Services and Vertiv North America Sales processes preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Data Center Industry preferred.
