This Quality Scientist I will prioritize daily tasks to ensure that medias and chemical solutions are prepared in accordance to their respective batch records and completed in an accurate and timely manner. Clean, wrap and label lab glassware and equipment. Support testing labs and ensure timely completion of tests to meet the established lead times. Following GMP documentation guidelines. Basic problem solving skills and demonstrate trouble shooting ability. Contribute to the teams productivity goals. Colleague should have ability to follow detailed instructions and perform basic math calculations.

• Completion of documentation following cGMP guidelines
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, instrumentation and facility
• Following all Zoetis Quality Standards, Policies and Procedures
• Providing minimum input for laboratory investigations (LIR), minimal project support
• Understanding of the QC software packages used during routine work
• Use of autoclave for sterilization of medias and decontamination of equipment.
• Pipette work
• Preparation of media and reagents
• Maintain adequate inventories of supplies and equipment
• Daily pH probe calibration and testing
• Media Fill inspections
• Equipment Monitoring
• Following Safety practices

Education and Experience:

4 Year Degree (science background preferred) and/or AA and 1 year of relevant experience

Required:

• Knowledge of cGMP/GLP requirements.
• General knowledge of the following software programs: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
• Willingness to positively embrace change and flexibility in adjusting to changing priorities
• Gain Profiency in 50% of the testing to support labs when needed
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work well independently and as a part of a team, and to work effectively with people at all levels within the organization.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions with coaching.
• Basic Problem solving skills

Preferred:

• Experience using aseptic technique.
• Knowledge of Basic GLP requirements.

Physical Requirement

Ability to lift approximately 20 pounds.

Flexibility to cover rotating weekend duties.

Ability to grasp and manipulate objects like pipettors, flasks, and bottles.
